FEATURED PROJECTS

Sweet

Dreams

Recently the Sleep Inn brand underwent some major design updates and Hummingbird Architecture’s Jacob Lupton was there to facilitate those changes. Informed by quantitative and qualitative beta testing, his team gave Sleep Inn a "simply stylish" look to appeal to a wide range of guests, from millennials to baby boomers. The brand received warm colors, softer lighting, nature-oriented design as well as modern furnishings to reinforce the brand’s easy-going personality.

Hummingbird Architecture breathed new life into this time-worn 1904 cottage. Having recently undergone a full-building renovation, this now ultra-attractive, bright and airy residence in one of Portland, Oregon’s hottest neighborhoods, radiates with light, warmth and well-being. Qualities that are a quintessential to the essence of Home.

Residential

Revival

Comfort

& Style

Comfort Suites / Comfort Inn & Suites Update: The goal was to take two very different Comfort brand prototypes and redesign them to have shared attributes, common programmatic elements, and look like they are cut from the same cloth – while still maintaining each brand’s individual identity. At the same time the Update also allowed variation in room counts, floor height, program and room mix per Choice’s request. Hummingbird Architecture’s Jacob Lupton designed and managed the execution of this monumental task. The result was a clearly identifiable product that consolidated the two brands.
